Among the Italian spices I count all the spices used in traditional Italian cuisine. Of course it is the same in Italy as it is in Germany. The Italians also try and use more and more spices from other distant regions. They also integrate them in their food, but I would like to ignore them in this category. Italian spices are for example garlic, pepper, Salt, Rosmary, bay leaves, spearmint, Chili, Saffron, Fennel.
The Italian cuisine is aromatic, we Germans love it. It is light, wholesome and full of flavors. Almost all of us have been to Italy or Italian around the corner before. Then you come back with a suitcase full of culinary highlights. As a result, the thought of Italy makes my mouth water. I'm thinking of pasta with seafood; with a mixture of Italian spices and herbs. Furthermore, different pizza variations with delicious Parma ham, rocket salad and a slight spiciness of chili pods. Or baked aubergine slices marinated in olive oil, garlic and basil. Served cold as antipasta. An oven dorade with rosemary, garlic, chilli and olive oil.
Italiener lieben das EssenItalians love food, meals are celebrated. You do not save on the ingredients. You select your ingredients according to their freshness and their quality, not according to their cost. In addition, no way is too far, if you know where to get the best, an Italian goes there. As a result, they buy their products according to taste and quality. They like to eat in company, especially with family and friends. The women and men like to cook and use especially aromatic spices and herbs. The Italian also likes to cook saffron with the spice. This spice is not only the most expensive spice in the world, it also has a very special flavor. In Italy, season with saffron risotto alla Milanese or even fresh mussels in a saffron. The Italian spices are very well known to us. Many of these spices are also used in our home kitchen.
