Pimenton Vera are ground smoked paprika from Spain and it comes from the western region of Extremadura. Here the Pimenton is still smoked according to old tradition for a week over oak.
Pimenton vera has a unique smoky aroma and is used among other things for the preservation of meat and sausage products. (for example the Spanish traditional sausage chorizo is made with Pimenton vera.)
Pimenton vera is ideal for vegetarian and fish dishes.
